Ted Bailey
1960-2003

Theodore M. Bailey, 43, of Mendon, died unexpectedly on Thursday December 18, 2003, at the Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital after being stricken at his residence.
He was the husband of Elizabeth (O'Reagan) Bailey for 17 years.

Born in Mineola, N.Y. he was the son of Elvira (Lucas) Bailey of Shelby, N.C. and the late John Bailey. He was a 1978 graduate of Syosset High School, Syosset, N.Y. and a 1982 graduate of Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio.  He was a resident of Mendon for the past 10 years and previously lived in Acton.

He was first employed as a young man for Intermetrics Inc. in the Dayton area, and later transferred to the Cambridge office, where he worked from 1984 to 1987.  He was then employed at Think Inc. in Lexington for about a year, moving to Banyan Systems in Westborough, where he worked until 2000.  While employed for Banyan Systems, he and his family resided for a year in Banstead, England.  For the past three years he worked as a consultant software engineer for EMC Corporation in Hopkinton. 

He was a soccer coach in Mendon and an avid golfer, as well as a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Mendon, and a member of IEEE. 

Besides his wife and his mother, he leaves his children Michael B. Bailey and Brett M. Bailey; his brothers, Thomas Bailey M.D. of Shelby, N.C., David Bailey of Richmond, Va.; his sister, Cynthia Bailey of Hickory, N.C.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A funeral will take place Monday December 22, 2003 at 11 a.m., at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford, followed by a burial at noon in St. Michael's Church, North Avenue, Mendon.

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Franklin. 

Instead of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

 




Congratulations to Brett Joseph and Scott Davidson -- 2003 League Champions!!

The first Championship match ended in a 30-30 tie and the rematch was played November 15th
under extremely difficult conditions -- very cold and very windy (The two match score can be seen here and here.)
